The Stay-At-Home Tea is our spring fundraising appeal. Timed to coincide with Mother’s Day, this mailing contains a tea bag and a card inviting the donor to relax at home with a cup of tea and a favorite book. The card asks for donations to Craven Literacy Council in honor of mothers or others who inspired the love of reading.
Gift of Literacy
The Gift of Literacy is our annual holiday fundraising appeal held at the end of the year. This mailing invites people to skip the crush of gift shopping and the difficulty of choosing the perfect gift for that special someone, and instead consider making a donation to Craven Literacy Council. In return for each $25 gift or more, CLC will mail a special card acknowledging this generous “Gift of Literacy” to a recipient of the donor’s choice.
